ROGERS CITY, Mich. (AP) - A small college in Michigan is counting on another bowler from a high school in the northern Lower Peninsula.

Jayce Sauve is the third bowler from Rogers City to join the team at Concordia University in the last five years, The Alpena News reported.

“It feels pretty good to sign with Concordia and do this for another four years,” Sauve said. “It’ll be nice to make more friends doing what I love.”

The Rogers City boys team won a regional title last season and finished third in the Division 4 team finals. Sauve was among the final 16 bowlers.

Rogers City alumnus Luke Augsburger just finished his first season at Concordia in Ann Arbor. Another Rogers City bowler, Zach Hazel, played for Concordia from 2015-19.
