PHOENIX (AP) - A driver who allegedly fled the scene of a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix that left another man in extremely critical condition has been arrested, police said Tuesday.
They said detectives developed probable cause and arrested 27-year-old Ryan Weber of Tempe, who’s accused of leaving the scene of a serious injury hit-and-run collision.
It’s unclear if Weber has a lawyer who can speak on his behalf.
Police said Weber allegedly failed to yield and collided Monday night with a truck being driven by a 51-year-old man.
After the collision, witnesses said Weber fled on foot.
Police said the 25-year-old front seat passenger of Weber’s car was transported to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
The injured man’s name wasn’t immediately released.
Police said the driver of the truck remained on scene and was evaluated and it was determined that he wasn’t impaired.
The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
