YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Eastern Michigan University is planning to relocate its College of Business to the school’s central campus.

The move is expected to enhance learning opportunities for students, facilitate faculty collaboration and increase investment in downtown Ypsilanti.

School regents have approved authorization to pursue a $2.7 million sale of the Gary Owen Building to River Caddis Development. The building currently is home to the College of Business.

Boone Hall on the southeast end of Eastern Michigan’s campus will be the new location for the business college’s primary operations. Significant renovations are planned for the building.
