CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles announced a 90-day extension on licenses, permits and car registrations that were set to expire in May.

The announcement on Thursday follows the division’s previous decision to extend deadlines for documents that expired in March or April.

Drivers whose medical certification for a commercial driver’s license expired after March 1 will also have until June 30 to get a new one.

The state DMV’s regional offices remain closed.
