PULTENEY, N.Y. (AP) - A man who police say caused a quadruple fatal crash in the Finger Lakes has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.
The Democrat and Chronicle reports 30-year-old Dustin W. Drake, of Prattsburgh, was arraigned Sunday.
Police say Drake was driving on Route 76 in Pulteney when he ran off the road and struck a tree around 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 12.
Drake was the lone survivor of the crash. Four passengers between the ages of 25 and 29 were killed.
Police say the group was at a bar before the crash. Officials would not disclose Drake’s blood-alcohol content.
Drake was released after his arraignment. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
