OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Officials say nearly 18,000 customers were without power Saturday south of Omaha.

Television station WOWT reports that more than 9,000 Omaha Public Power District customers in Sarpy County and about 8,000 customers in Douglas County were without power by early Saturday afternoon. The majority of the outage occurred in the La Vista and Papillion areas.

OPPD officials say crews have been working at a substation in the Papillion area to determine why multiple circuits keep tripping.
