PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a baby girl who died after she was pulled from a toilet at a Phoenix home.

Phoenix police investigators say 11-month-old Savanna Smith was transported to a hospital in extremely critical condition Wednesday afternoon and later died.

They say the death is being investigated.

Police originally said the girl was 8 months old, but they corrected her age on Thursday.

They say a teenager babysitting her siblings called 911 and said her half-sister had wandered out of her sight and she found her face-down in the toilet.

Police say it appears the baby pulled herself into the toilet and wasn’t breathing when her sister pulled her out.
