DENVER (AP) - The Latest on Colorado avalanches (all times local):

Interstate 70 has reopened in both directions east of the Eisenhower Tunnel after hours of avalanche mitigation work.
The Colorado Department of Transportation warns traffic is slow late Tuesday after the closure east of Loveland Pass.
The department brought in a helicopter during the day to help trigger snow slides along the interstate, including in an area where a natural avalanche swept down on Sunday as vehicles were passing by.
Snow, rocks and trees brought down by the slides covered portions of the highway.

Intentional avalanches triggered by explosives dropped from the air have brought down large amounts of snow in Colorado.
The Colorado Department of Transportation brought in a helicopter Tuesday to help trigger snow slides along Interstate 70, including an area where a natural avalanche swept down on Sunday as vehicles were passing by.
Snow along with rocks and trees brought down by the slides covered portions of the highway.
Eastbound Interstate 70 at Silverthorne remained closed as of Tuesday afternoon because of the debris from one of the controlled avalanches.

Interstate 70 in central Colorado has been closed as crews conduct avalanche mitigation.
CDOT reports that both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 are covered by snow brought down between the Eisenhower Tunnel and Georgetown.
CDOT says the interstate could be closed until mid-afternoon as crews remove the snow.
In addition, crews are conducting avalanche control at Vail Pass.
As a result, nearly 40 miles (64 kilometers) of the interstate was affected by the avalanche work between Vail Pass and Georgetown.
The closure comes two days after an avalanche closed the interstate between Frisco and Copper Mountain. No injuries were reported.
