CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Latest on a man accused of firing shots at a Wyoming hospital (all times local):

6:40 p.m.

A woman who was at a Wyoming hospital when a man began firing a gun says she heard seven shots.



The Casper Star-Tribune reports Yolanda Isaldo was in the emergency department of Wyoming Medical Center in Casper early Monday when she heard the gunfire.

Police say no one was hurt in the incident, which occurred at about 1 a.m.

Twenty-year-old Mitchell D. Taylor of Casper was arrested. Officers found him in a mechanical area of the hospital.

Police Chief Keith McPheeters says police used a Taser to subdue Taylor. Emergency room staff evaluated Taylor before police took him to jail.

McPheeters says police recovered a handgun and are investigating what led to the shooting.

Taylor faces charges including aggravated assault, use of firearm while committing a felony, and felony property damage.

Police in Wyoming say they’re not sure what prompted a man to fire shots inside a hospital overnight.

Nobody was hurt in the shooting around 1 a.m. Monday at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

Police say they responded to the hospital’s emergency room and found signs of shots fired in the radiology department. Within 15 minutes they allegedly found 20-year-old Mitchell D. Taylor, of Casper, in a mechanical area of the hospital.

Police Chief Keith McPheeters says police used a Taser to subdue Taylor. Emergency room staff evaluated Taylor before police took him to jail.

McPheeters says police recovered a handgun and are investigating what led to the shooting.

Police say a man is under arrest after reports of a shooting at a Wyoming hospital.

Casper police say people reported hearing gunshots in the Wyoming Medical Center at around 1 a.m. Monday. In a statement, police said responding officers found a man who was taken into custody.

Sgt. Zack Winter told KTWO-AM that the man walked into the radiology department.

There were no reports of injuries.

Police said they plan to release more details later Monday.
