LOUDON, N.H. (AP) - The state Department of Transportation is planning to resume work on a road near the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The work, scheduled to resume Monday, is phase one of a two-phased widening of a 3.5-mile section of Route 106.
Phase One widens a nearly one-mile segment from 800 feet south of Mudgett Hill Road to 1,400 feet north of the speedway’s south entrance. The project also includes drainage and guardrail improvements and construction of three stormwater treatment ponds.
Speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph during work hours. Drivers should expect temporary lane shifts and occasional lane closures.
The $2.63 million project has a completion date of Nov. 22.
