CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Following a vote, at least 18 more New Hampshire towns have approved the electronic bingo game keno, which would help fund full-day kindergarten, and bringing the total number of communities allowing the game to 84.
New Hampshire Public Radio reports that two more towns, Conway and Merrimack, will decide on keno during elections in April.
The state approved keno in 2017. It’s up to voters to decide whether to allow the game in their local bars and restaurants.
Sales have totaled at least $23.8 million and profits reached nearly $4.5 million.
