CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Supreme Court has denied the appeal of a man sentenced to decades in prison over multiple arsons that killed four dogs.
Prosecutors announced the ruling Tuesday, saying that the court rejected Gregory Bruno’s claim that the trial court was in error in joining multiple charges of animal cruelty and arson against him.
The Concord Monitor reports Bruno set off a series of fires in Epping, Raymond and Stratham between January and May 2015.
Authorities say the arsons stemmed from a breakup with his then-girlfriend.
Bruno was convicted in June 2017 and sentenced to 22 ½ to 60 years in prison.
Rockingham County Attorney Patricia Conway says that justice was served as it relates to Bruno’s “heinous” crimes.
