JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - One of the victims of a mall shooting last week in Jersey City has been arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Jalil Holmes faces aggravated assault and weapons charges stemming from an incident Wednesday, two days before the shooting.

Officials do not have attorney information for Holmes.

Holmes and another person were injured in the Friday shooting at the Newport Centre Mall in what authorities say began as a fistfight in a food court.

One of the victims suffered wounds to the stomach and another victim in the arm. Both have been released from the hospital.

The mall was locked down and nobody else was injured.

Authorities haven’t said who fired the shots.

A Jersey City spokeswoman says Holmes also was served a summons for rioting related to the shooting.
