ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 35 to 70 years in prison for his role in what prosecutors said was a drug-fueled eastern Pennsylvania home invasion in which a father was gunned down in front of his young daughter.
The (Allentown) Morning Call reports that Brandon Lee Eanes pleaded guilty Monday in Lehigh County Court to third-degree murder, robbery and burglary. Three other defendants await trial.
Prosecutors said four people entered an Allentown apartment in August 2017, forced 39-year-old Jermaine Taylor to open a safe and then shot him, telling his 8-year-old daughter to turn around before opening fire.
Authorities said investigators followed a blood trail from the third-floor bedroom to the street and down several alleys before spotting a man with a hand injury, who was questioned and arrested.
