Derrius Guice avoided serious injury.
But the Redskins running back is not happy with the hit that caused it.
MRI results showed Guice was diagnosed with a sprained MCL, according multiple reports, which will cause him to miss at least one game. On Twitter, the 22-year-old called Packers safety Darnell Savage’s hit a “cheap shot” for diving at his legs on the tackle.
Guice went down in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss when Savage lowered his body to make the play.
“I think it was a cheap shot!!” Guice said, replying to a fan. “He knows the history of my knee injuries and went straight at them..”

Nice long run by Guice on a wide zone to the right, found the edge and burst up the field. Gets hit low on the leg and goes down hurt. Also watch Haskins after the hand off, limping badly. #Redskins hurting right now pic.twitter.com/zshvyAKg6y

This is the third knee injury of Guice’s short career as the second-year back suffered a torn ACL last year and a torn meniscus earlier this season.
Guice, though, said he was “blessed” his most recent injury wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
Blessed… it could’ve been way worse!! I could’ve broke my leg
