SYDNEY (AP) - First-place Perth Glory and second-place Sydney FC will have next weekend off while four other teams play elimination matches in the first round of the A-League soccer playoffs.
Third-place Melbourne Victory will play the sixth-place Wellington Phoenix on Friday in Melbourne, with fourth-place Adelaide hosting fifth-place Melbourne City on Sunday in Adelaide.
Perth will play the lowest-ranked winner on May 10 in Perth in the semifinals. Sydney will take on the highest-ranked winner in Sydney on May 12.
The grand final is scheduled for May 18 or 19 at the home of the best-ranked team in the final.
