ASHBURN — The Washington Redskins concluded their draft Saturday with two selections in the seventh round, taking cornerback Jimmy Moreland with the 227th overall pick and defensive Jordan Brailford with the 253rd pick.
Moreland is a 5-foot-10 corner from James Madison University with a knack for intercepting passes. He set a school-record 18 career interceptions — six of which were returned for touchdowns.
Asked about his playmaking ability, Moreland said, “I’m a dog.”
Brailford, who is 6-foot-3 and 252 pounds, was an edge rusher at Oklahoma State, recording 55 tackles in 2018. He was named first-team All-Big 12. Washington also drafted Montez Sweat in the first round with the 26th pick.
