COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina House Republican Caucus has removed one of its own party members from the group.

The State newspaper reports the caucus voted in a closed-door meeting Tuesday to indefinitely kick out Rep. Jonathon Hill of Anderson.

Hill’s fellow Republicans were angry he has posted their cellphone numbers on his Facebook page and shared details of their private meetings.

The decision doesn’t kick Hill out of the party.

Hill is a frequent lone “no” vote in the House and vigorously uses the rules to slow down debates.

Hill says he has no regrets and says rules should be followed and people should know what goes on with lawmakers.

The Republican Caucus could vote to let Hill back in, but he says he doesn’t see them changing their minds.
