McCoy entered Sunday listed as questionable with injured ribs.
McCoy’s season has been as woeful as his team’s so far. The back has only taken 16 carries and averaged 30.5 rushing yards a game across Weeks 1 and 2 — an embarrassing blowout loss to the Ravens and a defeat to the hands of the Chargers in which a player retired from the NFL at halftime.
There is also a report that McCoy physically abused his son, according to a civil lawsuit the boy’s mother filed against the player. It is unclear whether McCoy faces any discipline related to those allegations.
