ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police have released the name of a 62-year-old pedestrian struck and killed by a minivan over the weekend.

Kent Wells died when he was struck Saturday night on Debarr Road in east Anchorage.

Investigators determined Wells had been running in and out of traffic.

Police say he was struck by a minivan that had the right of way in the center lane. The driver remained at the scene after the crash.

A person administered CPR to Wells until Anchorage Fire Department responders arrived.

Police withheld Wells’ name until next of kin was notified.
