FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A central California gang member has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for conspiring to kill a rival.

The U.S. Justice Department says Wednesday that 41-year-old William Lee of Fresno had been convicted of conspiracy to commit murder.

Officials say Lee plotted a retaliatory shooting after a member of his gang, the Dog Pound Gangsters, was shot.

More than a dozen members of the notorious gang have pleaded guilty this year to charges including conspiracy to murder, human trafficking, gun and drug possession and credit card fraud. Earlier this month, five were sentenced to more than 10 years in prison each.
