FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - A north Alabama man has been indicted in a shooting death that followed a dispute over loud music.
News outlets reported that a Lauderdale County grand jury has returned a murder indictment against 36-year-old Charles Jordan of Anderson.
Forty-seven-year-old Michael Watson was shot and killed June 9.
Sheriff Rick Singleton said deputies were called after Watson complained about loud music being played next door at Jordan’s house.
News outlets reported that Watson had beaten Jordan’s brother. The indictment says Jordan then shot Watson.
There was no record of an attorney for Jordan, who faces up to life in prison if he is convicted.
No trial date has been set.
