TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been arrested in the killing of a woman in Topeka.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the 34-year-old was booked Sunday into the Shawnee County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Michelle Katherine Stadler. Police Lt. Robert Simmons says in a news release that Stadler was found dead Saturday in an apartment of what appears to be blunt force trauma.

Simmons says a second man who was identified as a person of interest in the killing was released after questioning.
