CHESNEE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man stabbed his girlfriend and her father to death and then waited on the porch of his South Carolina home for police.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Kevin Bobo said 28-year-old Casey Douglas had his hands raised above his head when deputies arrived Thursday morning at his Chesnee home.
Bobo says Douglas detailed how he killed his girlfriend and her father in a statement and has been charged with two counts of murder.
Bobo says deputies are still trying to determine why Douglas killed his victims.
Bobo said in a statement that deputies went to the home because Douglas called a family member and told them about the killings.
Douglas is awaiting a bond hearing. Court records did not indicate if he had a lawyer.
