There’s nothing like using a fluke play as an excuse to come up with your next merchandise opportunity.

After last week’s win against the Carolina Panthers, Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is selling some new apparel — capitalizing on an odd moment from the game.

In the second quarter, Peterson’s cleat got stuck in linebacker Luke Kuechkly’s facemask as the veteran running back exploded through a crease on the right side of the line. Peterson completed the run, but without his shoe.

Shortly after, Peterson unveiled two new shirts to commemorate the play.

One t-shirt depicts a shoe stuck in a helmet with the text, “One shoe, two shoe, AD will run past you.” The other design has the same text and shows a sock and a cleat with “AD” imprinted on the sock.

There is one inconsistency, though, Peterson didn’t spot.

The sock in the second design is on the left foot, even though Peterson lost his right shoe. Let’s just say Peterson has a better vision for finding running lanes than he does for graphic design.
