JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A Christian liberal arts university based in Mississippi has named a new provost and vice president of academic affairs.
Belhaven University says Bradford Smith was named after a national search. He had been Belhaven’s dean of arts and sciences.
Belhaven President Roger Parrott says Smith has a “unique combination of strengths and experiences.”
Smith holds doctorate degrees in clinical psychology and education. He is a licensed psychologist and for 20 years has taught and consulted in mental health and Christian counseling. In 2014, he founded Belhaven’s Institute for International Care and Counsel.
Belhaven has also named Audrey Kelleher as vice president for online academic affairs and Vicki Wolfe as associate vice president for academic support.
Belhaven has campuses in Jackson; Atlanta; Houston; Orlando, Florida; and Memphis and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
