Actor Tom Arnold learned the hard way this week that you never tug on “Superman’s” cape — or call him a racist.
Former “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” star Dean Cain was captured on video Tuesday confronting Mr. Arnold over claims of anti-LGBT bigotry and racism.
The altercation, which stems from Mr. Cain’s support for President Trump, happened backstage at Larry King’s studio in California.
“@RealDeanCain is another @realDonaldTrump loving fake Christian coward which makes Dean Cain anti-LGBTQ & racist. #complict,” Mr. Arnold tweeted Sept. 23.
The “fake Christian” commentary also comes in conjunction with the upcoming release of Mr. Cain’s latest film titled “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.”
“I’ve always supported gay rights. Let me finish for a second. You’re giving me guilt by association and that’s wrong,” Mr. Cain said in video obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
“I don’t want those f—ers using you,” Mr. Arnold replied after a stammering demand to see his exact words from Sept. 23.

“Nobody is using me. I speak my mind,” Mr. Cain replied.
Mr. Arnold shook the actor’s hand at the end of the exchange and then took to Twitter to complain: “Now I’m thinking you & your camera boy installed the magnificent Jesus window in the BG for this scene … good lord you people suck.”
“You would. And I didn’t have a camera boy,” Mr. Cain replied.
He called me #racist and said I was anti-LGBT. Totally untrue.

After I confronted him, he backed down. That’s how it always seems to work. https://t.co/kyGixRrQYg
