WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - A sentencing date has been set for a Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in the shooting death of a recent high school graduate during a road rage confrontation.

The Daily Local reports David Desper faces a maximum of 45 years in prison during his sentencing scheduled for Dec. 13.

Police say Desper and 18-year-old Bianca Roberson jockeyed for space in the merger of a highway lane in West Goshen Township before Desper pulled out a gun and shot Roberson in the head in 2017.

Desper turned himself in four days later.

His plea came a week before his trial was set to begin. He was originally charged with first-degree murder, criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime and reckless endangerment.
