BREMEN, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say a man who brandished a firearm after exiting a parked car was fatally shot by officers.

Troopers from the state police post in Madisonville responded to a terroristic threatening complaint at a home in the Bremen community in Muhlenberg County Friday morning.

State police say in a release that 46-year-old Christopher L. Anderson was sitting in a vehicle on a private drive when four officers, including two state police troopers, arrived at the home.

State police say Anderson got out of the car, “brandishing a firearm and a confrontation ensued with multiple shots being fired.” Anderson was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

None of the officers were hurt.
