PALATKA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a passenger train has hit a garbage truck in Florida.

The Florida Times-Union reports that crash happened Wednesday morning near Palatka. No injuries were reported, but the crash left 109 passengers stuck for several hours.

Florida Highway Patrol says the truck was at a railroad crossing with no signals, only signs, when it was hit by the Amtrak train. Amtrak says the train was heading from New York to Miami.
