PERU, Ind. (AP) - Indiana State Police say one of two suspects in the slaying of a man whose body was found on a northern Indiana trail has been arrested in southern California.

They say a police tactical team took 21-year-old Ethan Cain of Marion into custody Monday morning at a campground in Imperial County, California.

Cain faces charges of murder, obstruction of justice, and theft in the death of 22-year-old Drake Allan Smith of Summitville. His body was found May 19 in a wooded area on the Okie Pinokie Trail east of Peru.

Miami County Coroner Tom Leedy has told the Kokomo Tribune said Smith died of massive head trauma and was found wearing only boxer shorts.

Police say a second suspect who had been seen with Cain remains at large.
