Comedian — and new father — Bill Burr says he’s tired of “fascist liberal” activists who want to tell him how to raise his daughter.
The popular stand-up comedian behind “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way” recently sat down with the podcast hosts of “Your Mom’s House” when parenting challenges came up. Mr. Burr, whose personal politics have riled fans across the ideological spectrum, said he wouldn’t bend to contemporary pressure regarding gender pronouns.
“Good luck on how you want to raise your kid,” he said to listeners who disagree with his decisions, the Daily Wire reported Monday. “I’m going to raise my kid the way I want to. … Look, my daughter is a girl and if she wants to work on carburetors or quote, ’do some guy s—-,’ I don’t give a f—-. I opened my mind. I listened to you. I don’t agree with what you’re saying. It’s my kid and I’ll raise her the way I want to.”
The comedian lamented a small but skilled population of activists who put the rest of the country in awkward situations.
“You’re not liberal anymore,” he said for the May 15 podcast. “You are a fascist liberal. But this is the thing though: they are a very small portion of the population who know where the pressure points are and they go after the advertising money and then everybody caves in; everybody has to live off of money so everybody gets afraid. It’s a paper tiger and everybody is folding.”
