LAKE STEVENS, Wash. (AP) - An elementary school student was hit by a motorcycle after getting off his school bus in Lake Stevens, Washington

Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports it happened around 4:00 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the motorcyclist passed a police cruiser going the opposite way. When the officer turned around, the motorcyclist sped off and around a corner where the school bus was stopped with lights flashing and unloading students.



The motorcyclist went around the bus and hit a boy. He then crashed a few feet up the road.

The boy was taken to the hospital with a few broken bones, but is expected to be ok.

The motorcyclist also had some broken bones and was taken to the hospital and was then taken into custody.
