PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Former Oregon basketball star Luke Jackson has resigned as head coach of the men’s team at Northwest Christian University in Eugene.

Jackson said in a statement Tuesday he’s going to pursue business interests and spend more time with his family.

The Beacons averaged 20 wins per season during Jackson’s five years at the helm, and made three trips to the NAIA Division II national tournament.

Jackson was an All-American player at Oregon and was the 10th overall pick of the 2004 NBA draft.

Eddie Alexander has been named interim coach.
