BEND, Ore. (AP) - A former Bend massage therapist has pleaded no contest as part of a plea deal to charges that he abused two clients at Massage Envy when he worked there.

The Bulletin reports 39-year-old Christopher Rosario entered the plea Friday to four charges including sexual abuse in Deschutes County Circuit Court. A no contest plea is not an admission of guilt but is treated as a conviction.

The abuse allegedly occurred in 2015 and 2016.

He was arrested in 2016 and charged with nine sex-related felonies and misdemeanors.

An investigative report late last year by BuzzFeed News said more than 180 people across the United States had filed sexual assault lawsuits, police reports and other sexual misconduct complaints against Massage Envy spas, employees and the company itself.

At the time Massage Envy CEO Joe Magnacca said the allegations were heartbreaking.
