Child killed, family injured in Georgia house fire

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a 6-year-old girl was killed in a Georgia house fire that injured her family.

WSB-TV reports the Lithia Springs home was destroyed by the Thursday afternoon fire.

County Communications & Community Relations Director Rick Martin says the child’s mother, father and another child were injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
