Reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington indicate that NFL veterans Adrian Peterson and Ndamukong Suh will soon be without teams.

Peterson, who turns 33 this month, was once the league’s premier running back for the Minnesota Vikings. But after a child-abuse suspension in 2014 and a meniscus injury in 2016, he showed major signs of slowing down and the Vikings cut him. He spent 2017 playing brief stints with the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals.

Suh was at one time a defensive superstar in the NFL, though he gained a reputation for dirty play. He started his career with the Detroit Lions and signed a six-year contract with Miami in 2015 with almost $60 million guaranteed. But the defensive tackle, 31, did not live up to expectations with the Dolphins nor make their defense an intimidating unit.

These cuts will follow on the heels of Richard Sherman’s departure from Seattle; the veteran cornerback signed with San Francisco one day later. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was another cornerback on the move this weekend; he was cut by the New York Giants after declining to take a pay cut to stay with the team.
