You aren’t alone if you’re seeing a lot of red in Las Vegas.
Twenty-one percent of the tickets sold to Thursday’s Game 5 on StubHub were bought from Virginia, Maryland and the District, according to the company. The average ticket sold for $1,465.
The Washington Times’ Adam Zielonka observed T-Mobile Arena was filled with Capitals fans wanting to see the team clinch the Stanley Cup:
At the risk of looking like I’m biased toward the #Capitals - my life really isn’t affected whoever wins the Cup - I cannot possibly overstate the fact that there are nearly as many Caps fans here as Vegas fans.

Fans packed the glass before the game to chant “Let’s Go Caps:”

Okay - this is getting a little awkward now. That throng of #Caps fans here booed pretty good when Bryce Harper came on the scoreboard with his pre-arranged message of support for Vegas.

And the Capitals fans made themselves heard during the national anthem:
As expected, the “RED” and the “O” during the National Anthem were shouted about 80 percent the volume that “NIGHT” was shouted
