ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - For the second time in two years, an arson fire has destroyed playground equipment at an Anchorage elementary school.

Anchorage television station KTVA reports a fire was called in around 10:30 p.m. Monday at Gladys Wood Elementary School.

The Anchorage School District says it could cost as much as $250,000 to replace what burned at the school in southwest Anchorage.

Gladys Wood principal Cindy Hemry says a fire in October 2016 destroyed equipment that cost about $125,000 to replace.

Police are reviewing surveillance video showing several teenagers at the playground before the fire started.
