PHOENIX (AP) - An autopsy report for a 10-year-old Buckeye boy whose skeletal remains were found in an irrigation ditch lists the cause of death as unknown and manner of death as undetermined.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office released autopsy and toxicology results Wednesday for Jesse Wilson.
The boy disappeared in July 2016 from his home in Buckeye, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) west of Phoenix.
Police treated it as a runaway case.
Partial human skeletal remains were found three months ago about six miles from the boy’s home by a municipal worker and a subsequent search of the area uncovered additional remains.
The remains were submitted for forensic analysis and positively identified as those of Wilson.
Authorities say toxicology tests show the boy only had common allergy medicines in his system.
