Rapper XXXTentacion was shot dead Monday afternoon in Florida, TMZ reported.

According to the celebrity-news site, the 20-year-old chart-topping hiphop star seemed to be the victim of a targeted hit in Broward County. He was leaving a motorcycle dealership when a gunman ran up to XXXTentacion’s vehicle and shot him.

Broward County dispatch said the gunman, a black male, was wearing a red mask and was accompanied by another black male. Both were wearing hoodies and drove off in a black Dodge Journey with dark tint.

Born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, XXXTentacion was facing more than a dozen felony charges — including domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend and witness tampering. He also had served prison time.

According to TMZ, a Los Angeles gang had jumped him, for which he initially blamed Migos but later backed off and apologized.

He has had two hit albums in the past year, “17” reaching No. 2 on the Billboard charts and “?” Making it to No. 1. The latter album’s lead cut “Sad!” Also made the Top 10 on the singles chart.

His XXXTentacion YouTube channel has 5 million subscribers and he frequently uploads songs to Instagram.
