COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The headquarters battalion of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson in southern Colorado is being deployed to Afghanistan.
The battalion will replace the 101st Airborne Division Headquarters this winter and part of the regular rotation of forces. A precise deployment date was not given, a standard security practice.
Two other battalions from the 4th Infantry already have deployed.
