Nearly six in 10 women say they would vote for Democratic House candidates if the election were held today, according to a new Quinnipiac University survey, which also found that most voters support Roe v. Wade.

In a generic ballot for the House, Democrats held a 50 percent to 41 percent lead over Republicans.

The GOP trails by 25 points among women, and leads among men by 8 points.

Forty-three percent of women said their vote for the U.S. House would be fueled by a desire to show opposition to President Trump.

The poll also showed 63 percent of respondents agreed with the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that established a woman’s right to an abortion, and 31 percent disagree.
