PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a 1-year-old boy who was found dead in his north Phoenix home.

Phoenix police and firefighters were dispatched to a home around 11 a.m. Saturday about an unresponsive child.

The boy was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police on Sunday identified the child as Jonathan Horton Jr.

They initially said the boy was a 2 year old, but later corrected his age.

Police say the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death and the case remains under investigation.
