LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A Little Rock teenager has been found dead in what police say is one of at least seven incidents of gunfire from over the weekend.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that police found 17-year-old Chris Arnold with an apparent gunshot wound early Monday. Officers say they found him lying on the sidewalk near loading docks of a Kroger grocery store on the city’s east side. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A school district spokesman says Arnold was a student at Little Rock Central High School.
Police report at least seven cases of gunfire that stretched from Saturday to early Monday. The first came midday Saturday, when a woman told officers her 15-year-old son was shot in the leg while walking home. He was taken to the Baptist Health Medical Center.
