MOUNT DESERT, Maine (AP) - Emera Maine crews have restored power to nearly all homes and businesses after heavy wind left thousands in the dark.

The utility says 40 customers remain without power early Sunday, down from about 2,500 a day earlier. More than half of the customers still without power are on Mount Desert Island.
