GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - A number of rivers north of Albany were flooding because of ice jams.

The Glens Falls Post-Star reports the threat is expected to continue much of Saturday.

Flood warnings were in effect for the Hoosic, Mettawee and Sacandaga rivers.

The Mettawee River jumped its banks in several areas in the village of Granville and Middle Granville.

The Sacandaga River in Hamilton County flooded in several places, closing Route 30 in stretches.

The area was expecting colder weather and several inches of snow.
