WILDWOOD, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a woman who apparently suffered a “medical event” while waiting in line to pick up a student from a suburban St. Louis school has died after driving down an embankment and into a creek.

St. Louis County police identified the woman as 63-year-old Mary Brown, of St. Peters. Police say she was waiting Monday at Rockwood Valley Middle School in Wildwood when she drove off the parking lot. Brown was taken to a hospital, where she died a short time later. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.
