JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Florida landscaper has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting his boss.

The Florida Times-Union reports that 26-year-old Ezequiel Soriano Lopez was sentenced Thursday after being convicted of second-degree murder.

Authorities say Lopez shot his supervisor, 55-year-old Andrew William Little, at B&L Landscape Co. in Jacksonville in March 2016. Several coworkers told police they had witnessed the shooting. Lopez was arrested shortly after the shooting when police found him in a car near the business.

Police say Lopez had worked for the company for about six years and had some previous run-ins with other employees, including Little.
