One of the top prospects for the Washington Nationals is outfielder Juan Soto, who hit a combined .351 last season while advancing to the low Single-A Hagerstown (MD) Suns of the South Atlantic League.

He is listed as the No. 2 prospect in the Washington system by mlb.com.

“Juan is a very gifted young man,” Nationals director of player development Mark Scialabba told The Washington Times. “He barrels the ball consistently.”

The No. 3 prospect is infielder Carter Kieboom, a first-round pick in 2016 who also advanced to Hagerstown last year. He missed part of last season with a hamstring strain but took part in Instructional League last fall, according to Scialabba.

The No. 16 prospect is lefty pitcher Nick Raquet, who was drafted out of William & Mary by the Nationals last June in the third round. “He made a very nice impression on us,” Scialabba said. “He is a power arm from the left side. We like what we see so far.” He made 11 starts for Auburn in the New York-Penn League in 2017 and posted a 2.45 ERA.
